A familiar gateway to the brave new Web3 world
Formed through the merger of the Klaytn and Finschia blockchains initially developed by Kakao and LINE respectively, Kaia brings Web3 to the fingertips of hundreds of millions across Asia.

Kaia has the lowest transaction latency amongst leading EVM L1s with 1-second block time and immediate finality, enabling snappy user experiences and opening possibilities for use cases that require near-real-time responsiveness.
Support for account abstraction, gas fee delegation, and integration with the LINE and Kakaotalk messenger apps massively simplifies the user onboarding and usage experience, and gives Kaia builders instant access to over 250 million users.
EVM equivalence, planned support for CosmWasm, and integration with industry leading cross-chain bridges gives developers unparalleled flexibility and users a borderless ecosystem that embraces all of Web3.

The Kaia mainnet will be a hard fork of Klaytn, and not a whole new mainnet. The Klaytn mainnet will continue to operate under the new Kaia name after the rebrand.
No, KAIA is a rebrand from KLAY. However, there will be some changes in supply due to the merger of Klaytn and Finschia. As such, we would recommend starting the token charts afresh.
Klaytnscope will continue to function as a block explorer for Kaia, but it will be updated approximately 3 months later to a new Kaia-branded name and URL.
There will be no functional issues other than a name discrepancy, but we recommend updating your wallet once you can to reflect the new name and ticker. If you are an ecosystem partner, we will be reaching out to inform you when the update should be made.
For DApps in the Finschia ecosystem to migrate to Kaia, a process similar to migrating from a Cosmwasm chain to an EVM chain is required. Additional migration support will be shared once available, but if you need immediate assistance please contact Finschia Foundation.
